Excessive pressure drop

Reason for occurrence: ① The operating system pipeline was not properly purged, especially when many dirt (such as welding slag, etc.) in the newly installed system pipeline entered the interior of the plate heat exchanger. Due to the narrow cross-sectional area of the plate heat exchanger flow channel, sediment and suspended solids in the heat exchanger gathered at the corner holes and the diversion zone, resulting in a significant reduction in the flow channel area at that location, causing the main pressure loss in this area. ② When selecting a plate heat exchanger for the first time, the area was too small, resulting in high inter plate flow velocity and high pressure drop After running the plate heat exchanger for a period of time, the pressure drop is too high due to scaling on the surface of the plates.

Example: The user provides BR10 plate heat exchanger, which is used in the centralized Hydronics for water water heat exchange. The design temperature of the primary water supply is 130 ℃. In the design and selection of heat exchangers, the heat transfer derivative is relatively high, approaching 5500 w/(rn · K), while the actual value should be around 3500 w/(rn · K). At the same time, the design unit had a large flow margin during the selection of water pumps, resulting in a flow velocity between the secondary side medium plates of the heat exchanger exceeding 1 m/s, and an actual operating pressure drop of 0.2-0.3 MPa, causing serious imbalance in the hydraulic balance of the secondary network.
